Cardiff as a rail centre needs no introduction. Photographically, Cardiff Central station benefits from an elevated position, reducing the problem of shadows. It also enjoys an intensive train service, including some freight and loco-hauled passenger trains operated both by First Great Western and Arriva Trains Wales.
